Social & Recreational Activities
We organise social and recreational activities that encourage friendship, peer support, and community engagement. These activities promote wellbeing, reduce loneliness, and strengthen relationships among members.
Community Support
We provide opportunities for members of the community to come together to discuss issues affecting them, including marginalisation, isolation, health, and wellbeing. We work collaboratively with local authorities, healthcare providers, statutory agencies, and voluntary organisations to identify solutions and represent the interests of our community.
Social & Economic Opportunities
We work in partnership with statutory agencies and voluntary sector organisations to improve economic and social opportunities, promote community integration, and ensure that the voices of local communities are heard and represented.
Through our partnerships with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council, and Cheshire East Council (Crewe), we have delivered volunteer services that empower residents to actively contribute to their communities.
Our volunteers participate in a wide range of initiatives, including community clean-up campaigns, environmental improvement projects, neighbourhood engagement activities, and community events. These opportunities enable volunteers to develop valuable skills, gain confidence, build social networks, and make meaningful contributions to their local communities.
This collaborative approach strengthens community cohesion, encourages civic participation, and creates cleaner, safer, and more inclusive neighbourhoods.
Cultural Opportunities
We celebrate and preserve Kenyan culture by organising cultural events, sports activities, workshops, conferences, and community dialogues that promote understanding, cohesion, and integration.
We also encourage the preservation and promotion of Swahili by supporting those who wish to learn or practise the language.
Youth Activities & Development
We provide activities, events, mentoring, and resources that inspire young people to realise their potential and become active members of society.
Our youth programmes help to:
- Build confidence and self-esteem.
- Promote community safety and positive behaviour.
- Develop leadership and life skills.
- Encourage volunteering and civic participation.
- Create safer and stronger neighbourhoods.
Information & Awareness
We raise awareness by sharing relevant information, organising educational sessions, and signposting members to services and opportunities that benefit the community.
Substance Misuse & Crime Prevention
We provide peer support and awareness activities that address issues relating to drug misuse, alcohol dependency, and criminal behaviour. Where appropriate, we signpost individuals and families to specialist support organisations and professional services.
